Coach Brett Jones joins SD Force FC after two successful seasons playing professionally in Tennessee for Chattanooga FC. During his time there, he helped coach multiple academy teams and was the Assistant Varsity coach for Baylor School. Before his time in Tennessee, Brett played Division 1 for Oregon State for one season. Brett played his first three collegiate seasons for UC San Diego. As a three year starter and captain of the Men’s team, Brett became the programs first All-American selection since 2015. Brett was also named a First Team All-West region player in 2019 scoring 13 goals and providing 6 assists in his final year. He earned a BA in International Business. Brett’s youth career was spent West Coast FC in Orange County. He was a two-time Cal South State champion and a two-time Far West Region champion. In his senior year, he was the National runner-up in the U-18 age group, and was named to the Top Drawer Soccer All-American team, all while scoring 56 goals in his final season with West Coast. Brett comes with a wealth of playing experience and is excited to grow the game and share is passion with his players.
His philosophy is “to give players the tools they need to be successful, and to teach players the many lessons that can be learned all through the simple game of soccer. I want my players to work hard and love the game just like I did!
