Coach Jessica Montiel joins SD Force with 12 years of coaching experience. Coach Jessica started coaching in 2010 as a freshman coach at Rancho Buena Vista High School. Throughout the past 12 years Coach Jessica has worked with a wide spectrum of age groups. Training the U7’s up to U18. Coach Jessica has been the Mission Vista HS varsity girls’ coach since 2021. Prior to Mission Vista, Jessica was the varsity girls’ coach at Sage Creek High School for 3 seasons. Coach Jessica also brings knowledge from the collegiate level; she is currently the lead assistant coach at Palomar College.

Coach Jessica grew up playing soccer in and around North County San Diego. After high school, Jessica went on to play for two years at Cochise College, a junior college in Douglas, AZ. Following Cochise College, Coach Jessica played Eastern New Mexico University, a D2 in Portales, NM. Coach Jessica played locally as a youth player and attended Rancho Buena Vista HS. In High school, Jessica was a 3-year letterman and a captain in her junior and senior years. She was named the 1999-2000 and 2001-2002 most valuable offensive POY. Jessica led Cochise College in goal scoring, finishing in the top 10 of the ACCAC. Coach Jessica was named to the ALL-ACCAC 1st Region 1 First Team. Coach Jessica is committed to empowering her players through a coaching philosophy built on the values of integrity, respect, continuous learning, and a player-centered environment. San Diego Wave ECAP Member and currently holds a USSF C license.
